About Story

Strength Wasn't Just a Choice for Brianna. It Was Who She Was.
Brianna Oas Strand, my wife and my inspiration, lived with Cystic Fibrosis but never let it define her. She chose to focus on what was possible rather than what was limiting. While doctors set boundaries, she pushed past them, prioritizing quality of life over quantity. She used her experiences to advocate for others, speaking openly about both the struggles and the strength it took to face them. Her impact lives on not just in the people she inspired but in the way she lived with resilience, purpose, and a commitment to making the most of every moment. Whether she was standing on stage sharing her story or finding joy in everyday life, Brianna’s presence left a lasting mark. Her legacy isn’t just in the words she spoke but in the lives she touched, the perspectives she changed, and the strength she passed on to those who knew her. Now, it’s a movement.

The Moment That Changed Everything.
In 2007, behind the scenes at the WA State FFA Convention, I witnessed something that would forever shift my perspective. A young woman was preparing to speak about living with Cystic Fibrosis, not as a story of limitation but as a powerful example of choosing her attitude, one she would share with 3,000 people in the audience.
Her message wasn’t only inspiring; it was a wake-up call: strength comes from within, regardless of the obstacles. That woman was Brianna. And in that moment, something bigger than either of us began to take shape. Her belief in the power of attitude wasn’t just about her personal journey. It became the foundation of everything that followed. Our connection was the catalyst for something far greater than we could have ever imagined. It sparked an idea that would grow into Choose Your Attitude, a movement born from our shared belief in the strength of perspective.
Living Her Message Till Today
For 11 years, I watched Brianna live out the words she spoke. CF treatments, hospital stays, setbacks - she faced them all with a smile and a choice: to live fully, no matter what. She didn’t just say life happens for you. She proved it every day. When she passed, I knew her message couldn’t stop with her.
In 2011, after my mom passed from lung cancer, Brianna reminded me: Legacy isn’t just what you leave behind. It’s how you live right now.
She introduced me to the phrase: Choose Your Attitude, Create Your Life.
When Brianna passed in 2017, those words hit me harder than ever. They weren’t just something to remember her by. They were a call to live by. I realized I needed to share this with the world, to show others that no matter the pain, we all have the power to choose how we respond and shape our lives.

The Words That Anchored Me Through Loss
Losing Brianna left me lost. I didn’t know how to move forward when everything felt empty. But then her words came back to me: Choose Your Attitude. They weren’t just words. They were a lifeline.
I tattooed them on my wrist as a reminder. At first, it was about keeping her memory alive in my darkest moments. But soon, those words became my anchor, my guide, a promise that no matter what, I had the power to choose my response.
In August 2019, I woke up to find the left side of my face paralyzed. After losing my mother and Brianna, this felt like another test I wasn’t prepared for. But in that moment, I knew I had two choices: stay stuck or face it head-on. I chose to confront my grief, and that decision sparked a transformation. For five weeks, I wrote Loving Someone Who Is Dying. Each word was raw, making sense of the journey Brianna and I had shared. Every time I wrote, I looked at the tattoo, letting it remind me that I could choose how to move forward.
In those quiet moments, I realized: grief and loss are inevitable, but how I face them is up to me. Her message had become more than comfort. It was proof that even in the darkest times, choosing your attitude can turn pain into purpose. This isn’t just my story. It’s ours. Choose Your Attitude isn’t just a mantra, it’s a catalyst. For me, for you, for all of us. It’s about rising, finding strength in the hardest moments, and turning every challenge into an opportunity for growth.

The Mission Continues
Choose Your Attitude was never just a brand. It started as a legacy, a reminder that perspective shapes everything. Every piece is crafted with intention. Built to endure life’s hardest moments. Designed to remind you of the strength already within. Created to connect those fighting battles of their own. A testament that mindset isn’t just important, it’s everything.
This isn’t just about a memory. It’s about carrying forward a message that has the power to change lives. It’s about embracing resilience, choosing your response, and stepping into the strength within. It’s about transforming challenges into opportunities. This isn’t just for one person. It’s a mission to inspire the world. Choose your attitude, create your life, and see how it shapes everything.
